Shapes Project, Part III - Final

October 11 - October 18

Shapes Project, Part II

October 4 - October 11

1. I took my two favorite thumbnails out of my 48 and had to create 8 different variations of each in thumbnail form again.

2. I then was required to take my favorite thumbnail from each group and create 3 variations of each one on Adobe Illustrator. The three small pictures were my favorite examples.

3. After I had created six total 5x5 compositions, I had to pick my favorite one and recreate it in a 10x10 format. The large picture is my 10x10.

This project consists of 16 different thumbnails, 6 Adobe Illustrator projects in a 5x5 frame, and one final piece on a 10x10 artboard.

Shapes Projects, Part I

September 27 - October 4

This project was a lot of fun to do. It took a lot of time and many late nights to complete. We were required to make a composition that consisted of five different shapes: circle, square or rectangle, triangle, line, and a plus.

Step 1: Our first requirement was to sketch, on a piece of paper, 48 thumbnails of 48 different arrangements.

Step 2: Next we were asked to take our favorite thumbnail and design it in Adobe Illustrator.

Step 3: After we recreated it in Ai, we were required to make 3 different variations and then pick our favorite one.

This composition is the result of 48 different sketches, a digital version of my favorite thumbnail, 3 variations of the digital version, and then my favorite variation.
